The hack occurred through a credential stuffing attack and the hackers used their DNA relative feature to access the information of other users. They recently confirmed a breach of approximately 11 million patients. Hackers gained access to birth years, DNA matches, family records, names, profiles, etc. 23AndMe is working to notify customers who have been impacted.
