How many people can I protect with a family identity theft protection plan?
Aura’s family plans cover up to five adults and unlimited children. Only the primary account owner (the person who originally signs up for Aura) can add new members to their Aura plan.
Children can be added by the family plan account owner so long as they have parental or legal guardianship over them and live at the same address. Child members on the family plan will only have access to online account monitoring and Social Security number monitoring features.
All adult members get all the listed benefits.
Can Aura protect elderly family members as well as children?
Yes, Aura’s family plans can extend to older family members. Every additional adult added to an Aura family plan receives the same benefits as they would on an individual plan, including identity theft protection, Dark Web monitoring, scam protection, credit monitoring, 24/7 support, and up to $1 million in insurance coverage.
Can other adult members see a child member’s personal information?
No. To protect the privacy of your children, only the designated family plan account owner can view a child’s personal information. However, family members can choose to share fraud alerts and other sensitive information using Aura’s secure Family Sharing feature.
Do all members on a family plan need to live in the same household?
No. Adults on your family plan (up to five members) don’t need to share the same household. Each receives their own full coverage.
Children and dependents, however, must meet residency or age requirements to qualify:
- Children under 21 must live in your household
- Full-time students under 26 are covered, even if they live away from home
- Dependents with documented disabilities must live in your household and rely on you for support
