Aura Appoints Mirena Taskova as Chief Privacy Officer

Boston, June 12, 2024 – Aura, the all-in-one online safety solution for individuals and families, today announced the appointment of Mirena Taskova (CIPP/E, CDPSE) as Chief Privacy Officer. Ms. Taskova will oversee and lead Aura's privacy program and privacy initiatives.

Ms. Taskova brings almost 20 years of global privacy experience to Aura, transitioning from her role as Managing Director, Head of Privacy & Cybersecurity at a prominent business consulting firm. Her background also includes pivotal positions at renowned firms where she excelled as a Senior Privacy & Cybersecurity Advisor, and on the Advisory Board at EuDEco–a multinational project focused on big data. 

Today, Ms. Taskova maintains an active role as a prominent member of both the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) and the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA). Her career includes advising Fortune 500 companies in various industries, including AI/Big Tech, Healthcare, Manufacturing, Pharmaceutical, Oil and Gas, and Retail. Additionally, Ms. Taskova has played a pivotal role in significant privacy developments for distinguished multinational organizations and has been acknowledged by Chambers Global & Chambers Europe as an "accomplished privacy expert."
