If you receive an unusual transaction notification, review it immediately to see whether you recognize it.
If you don’t recognize it, follow these steps:
- Contact your credit card or bank immediately to dispute the charge. You may also want to consider having a new card issued.
- Contact the merchant. You can dispute the charge directly with them. Note the merchant may ask for additional information to help identify the source of the fraud.
- If your card has been lost or stolen, report it to your bank or credit card issuer immediately. Federal law only limits your liability for unauthorized transactions that are completed after you report the loss. Learn more at FTC.gov.
We’re continuously working to improve our machine learning model for unusual transactions. If you do recognize an unusual transaction, please let us know by marking the transaction as recognized. This helps us improve our algorithms to detect fraud more accurately and send you more valuable information.
